9月27日のソフトバンク戦で、中田翔がプロ初打点を記録。大打者としての第一歩を飾った。0対3とリードされた7回、1アウト2.3塁のチャンスで回ってきた中田は、ソフトバンク先発の大隣から2球目のチェンジアップを泳ぎながらもセンター後方への大飛球を放ち、サードランナーをタッチアップで向かい入れた。二軍では、95打点と打点王を独走しているが、一軍での打点はこれが始めて。中田にとっても忘れられない日になったであろう。
中田プロ初打点おめでとう！ナイスバッティングでしたねー。
この打席は、初球にアウトコースの早いストレートを見せられて、同じコースに来たチェンジアップを左膝の割れを我慢してセンター方向に上手く打ち返しました。上半身は多少崩されていましたが、下半身が最後まで開かずに我慢できていて、ボールにくらいついて行こうという気持ちがすごく感じられました。梨田監督は、「最低限の仕事」とあまり褒めていなかったようですが、中田の打席内での成長を考えると、もっと褒めてあげてもいいかなぁと思います。後一伸びあれば外野の頭を超えていたので、多少悔しさは残りますが、トップの位置でボールが来るのを待てるようになれば、軽々とスタンドまで運べるようになると思います。
この打席よりも良かったのが最終打席。最終打席の中田は、外のチェンジアップでファール、外のストレートがボール、外のストレートでファールと、この時点で2－1と追い込まれました。ここからが、特によかったと思った所で、次の外のチェンジアップをファール、外のスレートをファールにした後、外の2球続いたストレートをライト前。この打席の中田は、追い込まれてから、チェンジアップとストレートと緩急で揺さぶられながらも、厳しいボールはファールで逃れ、甘くなったストレートをヒットにする。
これは、まさしくプロのバッティングだと思います。中田がもしも、このバッティングを続けられれば、一軍でも必ずやっていけるし、すぐにでもレギュラーになれると思います。さらに、よかったのは、何としてもくらいついて行こうと言うのが、本当によく分かりました。このファールで粘っていく事と、ボールに喰らい付くと言う事が出来てくると、不得意なインコースのボールをカットで粘り、外に来た得意のボールをかっ飛ばすというようなバッティングも自然と出来るようになってきますし、そうなると、結果として、フォアボールが増え、打率もあがってくると思います。中田の場合は、人並み外れたパワーを持っているので、ホームランなど狙わなくても、バットにボールがあたれば、嫌でもスタンドまでボールが飛んで行っていると思います。ホームランと打とうすると、どうしても引っ張りたくなり、相手バッテリーの術中にはまり易くなりますので、ボールに喰らい付いて、センター中心に打っていると、自然とホームランも増えると思います。
まあ、この調子で行けばシーズン最後まで一軍にいられると思います。次の試合はホームでのオリックス戦、相手投手は伊原。左ピッチャーなので中田の先発出場は十分に可能性があります。多分、そろそろ大きいのが見られると思いますよ。楽しみですねー。
